Manfield Rotterdam Wins the Experience of the Month Award for April!

Congratulations to Manfield Poolsterstraat Rotterdam! You’ve won the Experience of the Month Award for April. Every month, our mystery shoppers visit hundreds of stores, hospitality venues, and locations to assess service, customer focus, and overall experience. This month, there was one clear winner: Manfield Rotterdam!

Consistently high scores

Rocky Sewdajal, keyholder at Manfield Rotterdam, proudly accepted the award. “Wow, what a huge surprise,” he said with a smile. “I always give it my all.” And that dedication doesn’t go unnoticed: his scores are consistently high, and customers regularly leave kind compliments through Manfield’s review system.

“I want to thank Rocky for his excellent service,” said the mystery shopper. “He wasn’t just helpful and professional, but also friendly and personal. When I mentioned I was looking for business casual shoes, he immediately came up with suitable suggestions. He really thought along with me about what would match my style and the occasion, asking specific questions to better understand what I was looking for. He made me feel like I truly mattered as a customer, and I really appreciate that!”

Rocky has been with Manfield for almost two years now and clearly feels at home. “I love selling and advising people. I’ve been doing it all my life. It’s the connection with customers, whether it’s men or women, that makes my job so enjoyable. Selling is just in my nature.”

Continuous improvement through mystery shopping

For Manfield, mystery shopping plays an important role in improving quality. Tamara Meijers, Retail Area Manager for Southwest Netherlands, explains: “It’s always exciting to see the results. But it really helps us move forward. We always discuss the scores in our team app. For example, if we notice that upselling is lagging behind, we tackle that together.”

Manfield also uses the insights to focus their training. Tamara: “If we see that initial greetings are often missed, or that colleagues aren’t visible enough to customers because they’re behind the counter, we take concrete action to improve.”

And it pays off! Manfield Rotterdam is currently ranked #2 among all branches in their internal store competition. Tamara: “I’m thrilled we’ve now won this Secret View award! It’s truly a reward for the hard work of Rocky and the entire team.”

A committed team

So what makes the difference, according to Rocky? “Staying human. Always greet the customer, make eye contact, and truly listen to what they’re looking for.”

Tamara adds: “The results are actively discussed within the team, and soon we’ll even launch a special crew app for all employees. It’s something that really lives within the organization.”
