Smullers Den Bosch wins the Experience of the Month Award for March!

Congratulations, Smullers Den Bosch: you are the winner of the Experience of the Month Award! Every month, our mystery shoppers visit hundreds of stores, hospitality venues and other locations to assess service, hospitality, and the overall experience. From all the results, we select the experience that truly stands out. In March, that was Smullers Den Bosch, achieving a perfect score of 100% for the third month in a row!

Professional and attentive to detail

Our mystery shopper felt the employees at this location were very considerate and genuinely attentive to the customer: “You can really tell the employees here want to help you and that they care about what they’re preparing. The taste of the food also shows they know what they’re doing. The employee who helped me even advised me to keep the burger closed for a moment longer, so the cheese could melt. From start to finish, the employee really thought along with me to create the best dining experience!”

The employee in question, Sanne van der Lee, proudly accepted the award: “I feel really special. We’re the first Smullers in the Netherlands to win this award!”

Sanne has been working at Smullers for almost a year and is combining her job with a photography course. “Sometimes I suspect a mystery shopper is visiting, but of course you’re never sure. That’s why I always stay sharp and try to go the extra mile for every customer.”

Assistant store manager Shainy Anastasia is also incredibly proud of the team and of Sanne. “Sanne is full of energy, always cheerful and truly a people person. She helped two of the three mystery shoppers in the past months, and both received 100% scores. But we really do it as a team here. We always discuss things together and never point fingers at individuals.”

The key to success

The Den Bosch location is one of the highest-scoring in the research. What’s their secret? Sanne: “The team works really well together. We know what we can expect from one another and we’re well-trained. Plus, the mystery shopping research keeps us sharp.” Her secret tip? “Always leave the paper around the burger, that way it stays fresh and warm.”

The team atmosphere also plays a big role. “It’s just really fun here. That makes you want to do your best. We also go on team outings regularly. We went to Phantasialand together not long ago!”

Finally, Shainy and Sanne have one more tip for other Smullers locations: “Keep things light and enjoyable. If there’s tension, talk about it. Communicate and stay calm. That keeps everyone motivated and makes for a better workplace, which ultimately shows in the research scores!”
