MiiN Cosmetics is the winner of our Experience of the Month Award in May! Every month, our mystery shoppers visit thousands of stores and hospitality locations. From all these visits, we select the most remarkable, customer-friendly or inspiring experience. This month, MiiN Cosmetics in Portaferrissa, Barcelona stood out as a store where product knowledge, personal attention and a genuine passion for cosmetics came together in an exceptional customer experience.

For MiiN Cosmetics, mystery shopping is also a valuable tool. Area Manager Sara Carrión Contrera sees it as a way to look beyond commercial results alone.

That value became especially visible in May at the MiiN Cosmetics store in Portaferrissa. The store wins our Experience of the Month Award for exceptional service and genuine attention.

For Sara, the award is a wonderful confirmation of the team’s efforts. “For me, it is a proud moment to see how the team brings these values to life in the store.”

A store experience full of personal attention

“I love giving advice and sharing everything I learn about cosmetics,” says Store Manager Tania Uréndez Ramón of MiiN Cosmetics in Portaferrissa.

That passion clearly came through during the mystery shopping visit. The mystery shopper was not only helped in finding a suitable cosmetic product, but also received clear explanations and advice that truly matched her needs.

Our mystery shopper wrote:

“I felt like I was in the hands of someone who paid close attention to me and knew what she was talking about. She asked me about my skin type and, while looking at my face, said that my skin was normal to dry. She saw no shine and concluded from that that I do not have oily skin and that my skin is somewhat sensitive. It gave me the impression that she was a dermatologist or worked in the cosmetics sector.”

The shopper’s needs were also identified with great care. “The employee asked me what I was looking for. She showed me products for my skin type and needs. That gave me the confidence to buy more creams. She made me feel comfortable.”

For Tania, the recognition feels like a wonderful confirmation. “This recognition gives me a lot of satisfaction. I am very happy with the award because it reflects how much I enjoy my work.”

Great service starts with listening

What does Tania enjoy most about her work? “Without a doubt, the contact with the customer. I have always been interested in the world of cosmetics and I love that I can keep learning every day. I also really enjoy guiding customers in their search for products that truly match their needs.”

For Tania, the mystery shopping visit felt very natural. It was only when the results came in that she realised it had been a mystery shopping visit. According to her, great service is mainly about closeness, availability and listening carefully.

“The key lies in closeness and availability, so the customer feels comfortable from the very first moment.”

“Listening to understand what the customer needs and enjoying the conversation makes everything flow much more naturally. In the end, the customer also notices when you enjoy what you do.”

Results that provide direction
